1. Introduction

It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we handle personal data, and our Terms of Use.

This policy covers the Website only. It does not cover the Absher voice agents your bank, telecom operator or other provider may use when you call them. Those deployments are governed by that organisation's own privacy notice.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site recognise your device, remember your choices and understand how the site is used.

We also use technologies that work like cookies, including local storage and session storage in your browser, and pixels embedded in pages. In this policy we refer to all of them as "cookies".

Cookies set by us are "first party" cookies. Cookies set by another organisation whose service we embed are "third party" cookies, and that organisation can read them when you visit other sites using the same service.

3. The cookies we use

Strictly necessary. These make the Website work and protect it from abuse. They cannot be switched off through our banner, and we do not need your consent for them.

• Hosting and delivery. Set by our hosting and content delivery providers to serve pages, balance load and maintain security. Typically expire at the end of your session or within 30 minutes.
• Cloudflare Turnstile. Set when you submit a form, to confirm you are not an automated script. Turnstile is provided by Cloudflare, Inc.
• Google reCAPTCHA. Also used to protect our forms from automated abuse. Sets a cookie named _GRECAPTCHA, typically for six months. Provided by Google.
• Your cookie choice. A first party cookie or local storage entry recording the preferences you set in our cookie banner, so we do not ask again on every page. Typically stored for twelve months.

Analytics. These help us understand which pages are read, which are ignored, and where visitors come from, so we can improve the Website. We only set them if you consent.

• Google Analytics 4. Sets cookies named _ga and _ga_<property identifier>, typically for two years, to distinguish one visitor from another and to measure sessions. We configure Google Analytics with IP address collection disabled where that option is available, and we do not use it for advertising, remarketing or audience sharing. Provided by Google.

Preferences. These remember choices you make, such as whether you are reading the English or the Arabic version of the Website. They are set only where needed to honour a choice you made.

We do not use advertising or cross site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share the information cookies collect with data brokers or advertising networks.

4. Your choices and how we ask for consent
